Overview

Makkah Al-Mukarramah includes mosques that date back to the time of the Prophethood. They are considered evidence of the events in the biography of the Prophet . Al-Ijaba Mosque is one of the oldest houses of God in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and it is said that "The Prophet prayed twice in this place, the first time during the economic blockade of Quraish for him and the Muslims before the emigration and the second time on the day of the conquest of Makkah.

It was built before the third century of the Hijrah and is located in Makkah in the Ray'zakhir neighbourhood. The old mosque was demolished and rebuilt in a modern style. It´s area was increased to about 400 square meters. The last restoration was done in 1422 after Hijri, where the exterior of the mosque was covered with coloured marble and a dome and minaret were built. It was equipped in the centre of the mosque with a place for wudu (prayer washing) for those praying.
