Note: The closest Miiqaat to Makka for Muslims traveling from Germany is Al-Juhfah. Pilgrims arriving by plane from Germany must wear Ihram before reaching the places of Miiqaat. However, they should make the intention (Niyyah) and call "Talbiyah" only when they reach the Miiqaat after the announcement. Saudi Airlines Announces Miiqaat. If traveling on another airline, the Miiqaat zone will arrive approximately one hour prior to arrival at Jeddah Airport.

Important: If a person who is inside the "holy district" (Al-Haram) of Makkah intends to perform the minor pilgrimage (Umrah), he must leave this district to enter the Ihram state outside the Haram district. A specific place outside the Haram district is not prescribed.
